Hey guys, good news. Mitch is going gorge flying. We worked out a noon on Wednesday meet time at the gorge bridge, probably over at the rest area.
I'm on vacation so I'll definitely be going. If anyone else has the time, please come out. It'll be fun.
No doubt I'll be his photographer. He says the thermals are great over the gorge. Plus the risk makes it fun.

The above illustration is one thing I have always wondered about Zaggies. Most Zaggy designs have no rudder and just have a fixed fin, because they use the elevons to steer and bank. But can they "crab" in a crosswind?
My own Zaggy has a rudder that I installed when I was contracted by a friend to repair crash damage for him. He ended up giving me the plane because he did not feel he could afford to pay me for my efforts, so I have this big 6-foot flying wing with a rudder. I wonder if it could crab in a crosswind.

I will. It's a wild looking plane. I'd like to jet power it and maybe get some tricycle landing gear in it. It's in my office a block from your office. Stop by and see it sometime.

Sorry Mitch, My picture I took of your gorge flying did not turn out. I think we needed a better camera.
