Isn't it funny how they always show those vids at low altitude where even a winged brick would fly? Question is, would it fly here at 7000 ft?

As a glider I might agree with you to an extent, but as a sloper; wind is wind at any altitude. I think it will be amazing...
Here it is sloping like a dream in the mountains of Poland...
Here it is in the high mountains, Ohio Peak Colorado @ 12,300' ...
Here it is as a glider in the high mountains of Japan with zero wind...
