Mitch, I was going to load up that sim that you gave me for RC flying, but I don't have the right kind of jack on my Futaba radio to use it. What kind of transmitter do I need? Any idear? On another note, last night I was flying Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3 and did a very difficult raid on a German airfield, with lots of deadly flak and waves of ME-109 fighters. For this sortie, I chose the Excellent Britsh Hawker Typhoon. It is very maneuverable and has a powerful, torquey engine. Not very fast in a dogfight, about 200 mph average, but those 4 cannons can rip a plane apart with a short burst, so I like flying it. The Spitfire is the better dogfighter, but this thing launches some huge cannon rounds. I was carrying two 1000 lb bombs. I am pretty good at dogfighting, but I was almost always a victim of flak, which would perforate the Typhoon and cause engine damage and failure within 5 minutes. The last sortie of the night, I did the best, and shot down 15 Messerschmitds, took out 3 flak batteries, bombed a hanger and a couple of planes, and managed to pull up to 1100 ft after the flak-damaged engine died, punching out while still climbing, and parachuted onto a road with a bunch of tanks driving by. Perfect. Helluva sortie, but I was probably a POW. ;D

Know what? Take a look at that cooling duct. This would make a really nice gas-powered model, with the perfect place to hide the motor. Just don't know if it could be 4-stroke, or if it has to be 2-stroke because of the inverted engine.
